Today was much easier (for me, anyway) than the previous three. Management accounting is much better than financial accounting ’cause it’s logical. Financial requires you to learn a whole slew of rules, many of which defy common sense. Management’s easier; it’s just math and thinking like…well, a manager rather than an accountant.

So far this week the prof has made an analogy to sex (during the revenue recognition portion…something about ‘too early’) and made a reference to ‘Pimp My Ride’. Seriously. I’m glad she’s the prof; I can’t even imagine how hideous this class would be if we had a hump teaching it.

Day 4 and still no ice cream or dessert. Right leg hurts like a motherfucker from lack of stretching (see last night’s post).

There’s a rumour that ours will be the last MBA class my company sponsors. So that makes us lucky, I suppose. Just doesn’t feel like it right now, in the thick of accounting. Oh well; at least I didn’t leave the classroom today wanting to jump in front of a train.
