Well, not surprisingly we both slept in this morning, and by the time we got up the last thing we wanted to do was to squish into a hot sweaty train and wrestle crowds of tourists, so we opted to switch up our plans a bit and head to Kew Gardens. It’s only a few stops away and the prospect of hanging out in a peaceful park sounded nice.

And nice it was: lots of big beautiful trees, grass for miles, ponds, ducks, interesting structures (giant pagodas, etc.), even a peacock. There weren’t many tourists about, and the weather was perfect for a stroll. A good afternoon.

I’m very excited…we’re going for Indian tonight!
