We left the brother’s lovely home this morning and made for NS. It was fun to spend time with them, to see where they live and be uncle Dan for a few days. My favourite part was when my oldest niece, after hours of being quiet in the other room, suddenly bellow at the top of her lungs, “I love being a turtle!”

I’m now back on the farm. We survived the shopping excursion (I managed to get them in and out in 45 minutes…not bad, considering the crowds. I also managed to survive eating lunch at the Big Stop. Guh.

Nellie called after her flight to say that her bags had been “misplaced” by Air Canada…so not only does she have no change of clothes, all the gifts are MIA. Grrrrrr…anyway, they’re meant to arrive tonight, and she should be here tomorrow afternoon, so we’ll have just enough time to do a little wrapping and get a bite to eat before (shudder) church.

It’s taking me a while to get used to the new kitchen. I can’t find anything and I keep stubbing my toe on the new floor, but it’s pretty nice. And certainly well stocked at this time of year. 🙂

Right now my other brother is headed for the French alps to go skiing. Wish him a merry & eurotrashy xmas, everybody!
