I don’t know why everyone had such a hate on for Elizabethtown (imdb | rotten tomatoes). Nellie and I just watched it, and we both really liked it. Granted, we both seem to like Cameron Crowe movies more than most people (I like Vanilla Sky a great deal, for example), and I had a small problem with how Orlando Bloom seemed to struggle with his accent for the whole movie, but I just…liked it. I can’t explain it much beyond that.
for the record… i LOVED it… LOVED IT! and had no problem with mr. bloom… nor ms. dunst… normally i hate her… not her acting… just her… but not this movie… she was adorable…LOVED THIS MOVIE!!!!!
really? I hated it. tap dancing at a funeral? bird on fire?? Cmon.
Well, by the time she wrote this review Nellie’d had quite a bit of wine. I still think she liked it, but maybe not as much as the gushing above would suggest still.
I thought the tapdancing was funny. The bird on fire…well, I’d like to think of that as a commentary on how shitty a song “Freebird” is. But that’s me.
