Apparently Bruce Burger of Venice, FL has never seen the movie Happy Gilmore. If he had, this never would have happened:

I love my group. We are blazing fast because we occupy the tricky ground between lazy and efficient. And, dare I say, a little brilliant.

Well, no, I daren’t say that. But we’re not messing around, that’s for sure.

Basically, I could have slept through that entire morning and not really missed anything. Actually, I kind of ended up giving a presentation in a half-assed way, and that was definitely worth skipping.

Lunch was a vegetarian’s nightmare so we went to Subway. I stocked up on some diet pepsi while I was there. Just hooking up the I.V. as I type this…

The gamut

Bad: dinner. The bad veggie burgers and some fingerling potatoes. I feel ill.

Good: my group meeting. It’s good to have a laid-back, smart group that all gets along and doesn’t feel the need to beat every little point to death. We met after dinner, picked a rough direction, created a tentative outline and half an hour later went our separate ways. Easy.

Awesome: a classmate found me a Diet Pepsi. I hereby swear to deliver to her my firstborn child, should such a thing occur some day.

I am very, very, very tired. And hungry. And it’s fixin’ to be a looooong night.

Anyone up for a little prison breakout? I need mercenaries, transportation and a Hero Burger.

Lunch today: potatoes, Mexican corn and trout. The potatoes were edible, the rest less so.

The alarm clock in my room is enormous. It looks kind of like the machine that Jeff Goldblum builds in The Fly. Or the monolith in 2001. It also has more controls than an F-16 cockpit. On the plus side, I can plug my Zen into it and the sound isn’t too bad.

Interesting things that happened today:

  • I saw a bunny eating the lawn outside. First time I’ve seen one up here.
  • I discovered that this building has switched from Pepsi products to Coke products. This does not bode well for me getting a damn thing done this week. DP = productivity.
  • I learned that middle-aged British professors with soft voices who discuss strategic analysis models could put a coffee-riddled chihuahua into a coma. Come Wednesday I shall require toothpicks to keep my eyes open.
