I’ve sampled some of the music in my inbox that I mentioned earlier this week, and I like. The Mates Of State album’s pretty good, but The Cold War Kids EPs are killer. They sound like The Walkmen with some White Stripes welded on to the side.

I just heard a song today at the mall and can’t remember the exact words but it had something to do with the title of your blog entry today – “put out the fire…” They were a rock/alternative band that sounded like they had some european influence. Though I could be way off. I know that’s not a lot to go on, but I’m hoping it’s something.
It’s “Hospital Beds” by the Cold War Kids (who I mentioned in my post). It’s on the “Up In Rags” EP or the “Robbers & Cowards” full length.
