Suck it up and buy a vacuum

Most Canadians prefer fake christmas trees to real ones. Therefore, most Canadians are nimrods. The most annoying thing about artificial tree makers? They now insist on calling their products “everlasting” instead.

I just got some dark chocolate in the mail, courtesy of Stanzi. Nothin’ beats mail chocolate.

.:.

Also courtesy of Stanzi (sort of) we got our first shipment from Green Earth Organics today. After she posted a picture of their produce on her blog we signed up…not that I have any particular desire for organic food, but because I have to admit to myself that I’ll be much more likely to eat good produce if it’s brought to my door than if I’m left to buy it. We’re not sold on the quality yet though; the greens seemed pretty slimy. Maybe it’s a one-time thing, or maybe it’s just what you live with when you buy organic. We’ll give it a few weeks and, if it doesn’t get better, figure out a plan B.

Canadiens goaltender Cristobal Huet has the best SV% and GAA in the NHL, but he was left off the all-star ballot. Surely that must’ve stung a bit, but what does he do? He gets a shutout in his next start. Suck it, NHL.

The tories are finally putting the same-sex marriage debate back in the house. Good. Let’s get it over with and move on already.

  1. You should certainly fire off GEO an email about the quality. I know my guy out here wants to know if anything is substandard. I have found with the organic that things don’t tend to look as pretty and polished as ‘regular’ fruits/vegs. Ohh..that’s some good chocolate eh? I start my Rogers advent calendar tomorrow, I can’t wait.

  2. Ohh and about Christmas trees. I HATE the artifical or call it everlasting tree. Christmas trees are much like bacon to me. You’ve got to be a lover if you’re gonna make it in my books. mmmm bacon!

  3. We have come to expect organic fruit and vegetables to be a little rougher around the edges, but the lettuce and cilantro were wilted, slimy, and smelled bad.

  4. I’d definitely send some feedback then on the quality. I must admit I am struggling to use some of my stuff like the swiss chard and some other thing I got two weeks ago..its still in the crisper looking anything but crisp now.

  5. Me again. I spoke with Danny, my GEO guy out here, and he said you should definitely let them know about the condition of the produce. He’s not affiliated with the TO CO. any more but he would certainly replace anything that was substandard. Also power of the digital camera you can send a photo same day to illustrate the condition. Really, if u are going to pay an arm and a leg for organic you should at least be able to eat it.

    That is all.
