As much as I love trying fun, new restaurants, there’s something to be said for familiar, steady standbys like Carisma. Just great food and service every time, from the burrata, to the pastas, to the wine recommendations. Last night it was a 2008 Mastroberardino Radici Taurasi, which was outstanding.

Simple, excellent, old-school Italian. Sometimes it’s all you need.
